FS — permanent exterior formwork with a light-steel interior
The Chinese-origin stay-in-place formwork family: factory-composite exterior panels with a 150 mm EPS core stand as the shuttering, are cast in, and never come off — while interior light-steel formwork lines the rooms, driving the wall to a U-value around 0.2 W/m²K.
How the system works
- Factory-composite panels arrive ready to stand: weatherproof face, 150 mm EPS core, and cast-in anchor ribs
- Panels form the exterior face; concrete is poured against them and they are never removed
- The staying panel remains as outer insulation and a render-ready substrate, so façade works do not wait for the frame
- Interior light-steel studs and panels create dry linings, service chases, and finish-ready rooms

Why owners pick it
- 150 mm EPS targets a U-value around 0.2 W/m²K — insulation and structure age together, per published Chinese technical standards
- Stable indoor temperatures cut summer cooling demand in the Gulf climate
- No scaffolding cycle for façade works after the structure is up
- No shuttering exchanges between floors — lower wall cost per square meter, fewer crane lifts
- Suited to shear walls and frame infill of residential and industrial builds
Comfort living
- Stable indoor temperatures through Gulf summers, behind a permanent rendered façade
- The staying panel and light-steel linings damp external noise better than thin skins
- Service chases hide inside the lining — later upgrades never chip concrete
